Half-cut Cells Advantages

(1) Reduced Power Losses

The solar cell is bifurcated, resulting in a 75% reduction in electrical losses and an overall increase in current output by 2-4%. This enhancement elevates the output power by 5W-10W compared to standard solar panels.

(2) Increased Partial Shading Tolerance

In the case of partial shading, this solar panel can still generate power from 50% of its surface area. Unlike traditional solar panels that cease power output entirely when partially shaded.

(3) Reduced Hot Spots and Temperatures

Half-cut solar cells diminish the current per subsection, effectively lowering the peak temperature of hot spots by up to 20ºC.
